Power Cable Insulation Compounds

   

In High voltage and Extra High voltage power cables, the important role of the power insulation compound is to provide a solid insulation around the conductor. In order to fully demonstrate its role, it is important to keep a low contamination level as well as the resin design. NUC's products are produced in the Ultra-Clean environment, thus we only supply products with very low levels of contamination and good processability. This is made possible by our accumulated technologies based on experience during the long-term development process.

Low Voltage Power Insulation Compounds

   

In low-voltage power cables, the important point is not only the cable performance, but also its productivity when producing the cable.
NUC offers power insulation base resins (for low voltage) with excellent extrudability.
We also offer silane crosslinking base resins with a good balance between extrusion processability and crosslinking properties.

Power Cable Insulation Compounds (Carbon black filled)

   

By compounding carbon black with proprietary know-how, NUC's compounds has excellent balance of tracking resistance, weather resistance, and heat resistance.
In addition, they have easy low temperature extrudability.

Semiconductive Power Cable Shields

   

Semiconductive compounds create a thin semiconductive layer around the insulation layer to reduce cable stress due to large voltage differences.
NUC have 2 kinds of semiconductive compounds.
One is "Adhesive-type" which has excellent adhesion properties with insulated layer. Another is "Strippable-type" which make a strip work of cable end easy.
